Question: What are statistical links?
Answer: When opening up an account with us, you will have the option of using a statistical link and what this means is that it will allow someone visiting your web site to see your website’s statistical data.
Question: Why would I need a Stats Link?
Answer: Some people like the idea of sharing their website’s statistical data with their visitors and in the event that you do not mind other people being able to see how popular your website is or where the visitors are coming from then you should choose to add a statistical link to your website.
Question: What if I want to keep my statistical data private?
Answer: You will be given the option when signing up to an account with us to add a statistical link to your website. You can choose “Yes” or “No” and if you choose “No” then the counter will not include a link to your website’s statistical data. It is important to remember though that you will need to still have the counter on your website since we use a spider to enforce our Terms of Service (T.O.S.) and if it finds that the counter is missing your account will be automatically deleted.
Summary:
When you choose to set up an account with us, you will notice that you will have a lot of choices in setting up the account that you can or do not have to do. These things can include things like adding a password to your account or even sharing your statistical data with your website’s visitors. This sharing of statistical data comes in the form of a statistical link which is embedded in the counter for the site and you can choose to have one or not to have one.
It is important that when making the decision that you keep in mind that as of right now there is not the option of changing this later and if you choose “Yes” for the statistical link when setting up the account, you will not be able to change it later or vice versa. Please make sure that when choosing “Yes” or “No” for the statistical data that you keep in mind for the future in which you may or may not need the link.
We hope to be able to add this functionality to accounts in the future but as of right now you will be unable to change this once the account is setup and should you want to then you will need to open another account and forfeit all of your current statistical data.
Notes:
Keep in mind that before opening an account, you need to read our Terms of Service (T.O.S.) and as stated in the Terms of Service, regardless of whether you choose the statistical link or not, you will still have to include our counter. We use an automated spider to enforce our Terms of Service and in the event that it finds you are not following with the Terms of Service it will automatically delete your account. We do apologise for any inconveniences this may cause you but it is an automated process and cannot be reversed, so make sure that you abide by the T.O.S.
